Greeting Game (5 mins)

Goals of activity:
To get the students energized.
To create a postive atmosphere.

Activity guidelines:
Step 1:
Tell the class about different greetings:
We greet different people in different ways. Depending on how well we know them, if they are man or woman, if they are older or yougner than us or if they are from the same religion as us. All these greetings are a little different.
Step 2:
Let the students get up and be ready to move about.
Step 3:
Every student finds someone and greets him/her as if they were the president of Nigeria.
Step 4:
Repeat step 3 for the following characters:
  • Grandparent
  • Best friend
  • Religious leader
  • Little brother or sister
  • Movie star
  • etcetera..
