Performance Objectives
Students should be able to:- Describe what determines choice of friends and types of friendship
- Discuss the importance of friendship
- Describe and state how to apply the various friendship skills.
- Enumerate reasons for terminating friendships
- Handle negative peer pressure
Lesson Plan
- Start with the 'warm up'. This will take about 5 minutes.
- Then let the students read the information in the info-cartoon. Most students will be finished in 12 to 15 minutes.
- Then
do the 'make' exercise. This will take about 20
to 30 minutes.
- Round up the lesson with a reflection on what the students have learned.
If you do not have enough time in one lesson to do all these steps you can also give the 'make' exercise as homework and spend any remaining time taking reactions or questions from students. - The 'quiz' is an optional computer exercise, which you can do if there is time left or for students to do alone.
