The King (10 mins)

Goals of activity:
To show students the destructive activity of the virus in the human system.

Activity guidelines:
Step 1:

Ask students to do the role play about the King.
Step 2:
Let one student act as the King, 3 others as his body guard and the last student as the intruder.
Step 3:
When the intruder tries but does not succeed. Tell the intruder to get a friend and they try again. When they still do not succeed, the intruder keeps getting more people to help him.
Step 4:
Continue until the chain of the body guards are broken and the intruders can attack the King. Make sure that the students do not harm each other. As soon as the chain is broken and the King is captured, the game stops.

  • Who do the King, Body guard and Intruder represent?
  • How did the intruder get access to the King?
Tip: The virus multiplies at a very fast rate and is able to overpower the immune system.
