Follow the leader (10 mins)
Goals of activity:The students experience how it feels to lead a group without using words.
Activity guidelines:
Step 1:
Make groups of four students.
Each group holds a newspaper sheet together. Every member holds one corner with both hands.
Step 2:
One student, the leader, thinks of a secret place somewhere in the classroom.
Then he/she tries to lead the group to that place without talking. And without tearing the newspaper.
Step 3:
Then the next student does the same until all the students have been the leader once.
Questions:
Who was the best leader?
Why do you think he/she could lead the group the best?
